Overview
LaneNerd ("the App") is the new name for BowlrIQ, a bowling performance tracking application developed by Bitmule LLC. This policy applies to the app under either name. The name change does not change how your information is handled. This privacy policy explains how the mobile app and this website handle information.
Records in the Mobile App
The app saves your profile, bowling sessions, scores, leagues, arsenal and notes in a local database on your device. Preferences are also stored locally. No app account is required, and the app does not automatically sync your bowling history to a LaneNerd server.
You can choose to export your records or send information through the feedback website. Your device's backup and transfer settings may also copy app data, as described below.
External Images and Diagnostics
The mobile app does not include advertising, analytics or an automatic crash-upload service. Operating-system and app-store diagnostics are managed separately by those providers and your settings.
Library and Arsenal ball images load from external websites. Bundled catalog images use Bowwwl; imported records may use other image hosts. Loading an image sends a normal request, including your IP address and the requested image URL, to that host. The app does not attach your bowling history to those requests.
Exports, Backups and Deletion
Manual backups are readable, unencrypted JSON files. Export opens your device's share sheet, and the app or service you choose controls the copy it receives. Share and store backups only in locations you trust.
The app may retain a temporary export file and recovery copies created before a restore. Device backups or transfers may include app records and recovery files, depending on your platform and settings.
Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local app records. Exported copies and device backups are managed separately and may restore data later. Deleting a record does not remove it from older backups or exported files.
Website Visits and Feedback
This website is separate from the mobile app. It uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure visits. Website requests include standard connection information; feedback requests also use an IP-based rate limit to help prevent abuse.
If you submit feedback, we store the request type, description, any ball or pattern details and links you provide, and your email address if you choose to include one. Feature-request descriptions, statuses and submission dates appear on the public Requests page; contact email addresses are not displayed there. Avoid including personal information in a public feature-request description.
Opening the feedback website from the app does not attach your profile, scores or backup. Information you submit on the site is handled as described here.
Children's Privacy
The mobile app does not require an account or include advertising or analytics. Information voluntarily submitted through this website is handled as described above. Do not include children's personal information in public feature requests.

We will update this page when the app or website's data handling changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
